Love is Made of Hearts #249 - Paper Pieced Quilt Pattern
This pattern was originally designed to make and donate a quilt for those involved with the tragic events in Orlando, Florida in June 2016. The design was inspired by the impact that occurs as people unite for the benefit of another. When many hearts join together for good, love abounds. A giant heart made of many many smaller hearts. There are 82 - 5 inch hearts that make up the larger heart in this quilt.
The background is broken up in an unconventional manner and the hearts and background are meant to be pieced as scrappy - using many different fabrics. The idea behind this is that beauty is not created from perfection, or from just one source. That while mixing fabrics of many different colors and prints may seem to create an uncertain finished project, it is guaranteed to be a masterpiece. A symbol of the truth that when people from all walks of life come together, bringing our differences and contrasting personalities with us, it may be uncomfortable and awkward at first. But as we work together and *sew* ourselves together in love, the end result is guaranteed to be a masterpiece!
The love of one is good. But the love of many is powerful. And can warm the hearts of many.
